Indeed and note that the Epiphany Octave was (is) unencumbered by other feasts in contrast to the Christmas Octave, so even before the Pian ranking of Octaves, the difference in relative celebration of these two Octaves speaks volumes to the relative importance. Of all the Octavecides of 1955, the loss of Epiphany is by far the most illogical and crass, and completely absurd considering that six new ferial days were created which still function as a de facto Octave in 1962ville.
