Rare Transitional Missal

  1. I'm not sure how rare those are (were). Is that the 1958 Maryknoll Missal? If so, the SSPX bookstores used to be stocked well with those and the S. Joseph Missal of the same era throughout the '90s. They were the cheaper (and vernacular) versions compared to the all Latin-English reprints of Fr. Lasance and the S. Andrew Missals. Of course, they all become "obsolete" when Angelus Press, finally, decided to print its own '62 Missal from scratch.

  2. I too was wondering how rare that is. I have a copy of the '1965' version of the St. Andrew's Daily Missal - now renamed 'St. Andrew's Bible Missal' with a lot of emphasis on explaining the pericopes. I have a 1967 rite lay missal too by Laverty.

  3. I have an interim missal in Portuguese, via my wife's paternal grandmother. Interesting little book.
